Owner Profile Help

Browser Compatibility:
- The owners search and map functions work with most browsers.
- Ad blockers and pop-up killers may interfere with the pop-up profiles and should be temporarily disabled.
Owners Search Form:
- The owners search form can be used to list owners according to various criteria:
- Model - displays all owners sorted by model/length.
- Boat Name - displays all owners by boat name.
- Photo - profiles that include photos.
- New/Updated - displays owners who have added or updated their profile in the past 30 days. Newest entries are shown first.
- General Search - can be used to find owners or boats meeting your criteria. Any text or number can be entered, such as "Jim", "2003", "37-2", etc.
- To find all owners in a state use ", CT" etc.
- Do not use the "T" when searching for models.
- Owner Group - shows owners with the selected affiliation.
- Hull Number - displays hull numbers for the chosen length, sorted by hull number.
- For best results, reset any fields not being used and click the button to submit the form.
- Advanced Search:
- The pull-down model list can be used as a filter for the other search categories.
- First, select the model. Then choose a second search criteria and click submit.
- Example: List only 1970 T34C's. First select 34C from the model list, then enter 1970 in the general search field and click submit. (You must do this in the order noted for this feature to work.)
Owner Profile Page:
Owners that match the search criteria are displayed in a table listing on the owner profile page.
- The information under "Current View" shows the search and sort criteria applied to the list.
- Click "Owner Name" to view that owner's profile.
- Clicking on "Year/Model" or "Boat Name" re-sorts the current listings.
Table Icons:
- Only a single icon is shown in the membership column.
- The icon Legend is as follows:

- The member icon displayed changes depending on the search criteria to show additional information about that owner. The only time the "search" icon appears is if no other icons apply to that owner.
- All of the icons that apply to an owner are shown in the profile pop-up.
Owners Map:
- Note: For owners who sail in one area and live in another, the boat location shown on the map may be for a different location than the listed home port.
- Owners in the table are shown on the map with red stars
denoting their home ports.
- Map controls:
- Select a redraw option and click the map to zoom or pan the view or...
- Click an owner homeport name to quickly zoom in on that owner.
- Note: The map always recenters on the point clicked.
- Click "name" to label the map with boatnames.
- Tip: To show or hide labels without changing the view, click the corresponding label button and hit "enter".
- Color Keys in the map and owners table:
- When viewing the default USA map only, all owners matching the search criteria are shown in the table.
- Owners matching the search but outside the map coverage, are highlighted in red in the table listings.
Once the map is zoomed, the table list is filtered to show only the owners visible on the map.
- If an owner red star or homeport was clicked, that star turns blue
when the map is redrawn. Blue star owners are highlighted in blue in the table.
- When red stars overlap, multiple blue stars may appear on the redraw.
- When your own boat appears in the table, it is highlighted in gold and a special icon is applied.
